Integrability and Moduli - A conference in honor of Leon Takhtajan

Edifício C6, Ciências ULisboa

08-12 July 2024 (Satellite of ECM 2024)

Leon Takhtajan is a renowned scientist who made substantial contributions to various fields of Mathematics and Mathematical Physics. His work played an important role in the development of the modern theory of integrable models.

His discovery of integrability of the sine-Gordon model changed the field completely, allowing to approach relativistic integrable field theory (IFT). He also contributed to the exact quantization of IFT that led to the discovery of quantum groups – a new field in the development of which he actively participated.

He also made important contributions to the theory of Riemann surfaces, Teichmueller theory, quantum Liouville theory, and more.

The aim of the conference is to gather internationally recognized experts in the fields explored by Leon Takhtajan, as well as his collaborators and former students, in order to present new developments and share insights.

The topics of the conference include (but are not limited to) classical and quantum integrable systems, complex geometry of moduli spaces, automorphic forms and their applications to number theory.

Registration is open until 31 May 20214.
