17 September:
Millenial Lisbon
During this day we will visit the historical sites in central Lisbon, starting at the castle hill and ending at Bairro Alto with a Port wine tasting. The program includes visit to the castle of S. Jorge and its archaeological site, the Roman Amphitheatre Museum, the Sé Cathedral, the Alfama neighbourhood, the downtown Baixa Pombalina and the Bairro Alto. During the visits we will see traces of several civilizations and historical events that took place in Lisbon since the Roman occupation to the carnation revolution.

18 September:
The Portuguese Discoveries
This activity takes place at the Belém neighbourhood, from where many Portuguese discovery expeditions departed and where monuments to celebrate them were erected. We will visit the Monastery of Jerónimos and Tower of Belém, both Unesco heritage sites, the compass rose and mappa mundi in front of the Padrão dos Descobrimentos, the museum of Coches (carriages), and all the river front.

20 September:
Sintra and the Atlantic Coast
During this day we will visit the romantic city of Sintra, as well as the rugged atlantic coast north of Cascais. We will visit Sintra’s town centre, the Park and Palace of Pena, the Capuchos Convent, the Cape of Roca and the town of Cascais.

21 September (morning) Free time for independent activities.
Here are some suggestions:
Visit the Oceanário -  if you like the oceans and marine life this is a must
Visit the Center for Modern Arts and get to know the work of modern portuguese artists., then stroll around the Gardens of the Gulbenkian Foundation
Visit the Chiado area - Spend the morning strolling around Chiado´s trendy area, do some shopping, sit next to the writer Fernando Pessoa and have a coffee at Brasileira café.
